HONOLULU (Aug.13, 2024) A Navy contractor with the Navy’s Water Quality Action Team collects a water sample from a kitchen sink at a Moanalua Terrace neighborhood residence in Honolulu, Aug. 13, 2024. The samples will be sent to multiple Environmental Protection Agency-certified labs for extensive testing of over 60 analytes under the Navy’s voluntary Extended Drinking Water Monitoring program. These ongoing monitoring efforts are part of the Navy’s enduring, long-term commitment to ensure the safety of the environment and public health.
