Navy Closure Task Force-Red Hill will host a groundwater monitoring informational webinar on Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 5-6 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time. The webinar will discuss the Navy's groundwater monitoring well network around the area of the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility. Since groundwater can be a raw source of drinking water, the Navy utilizes data from a system of monitoring wells and combination of various models to develop a comprehensive understanding of the groundwater conditions in the area. These efforts are closely coordinated with regulators and will help us better protect Oahu's aquifer, now and for generations to come.
